Allee Etheridge is an artist from Dallas, Texas. Her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University is in creative writing; however, she earned a minor in art. After graduation, she moved to a tiny island in rural Japan to teach English. During her years there, she spent time learning about the local clay traditions.
Since returning home, Allee has developed her ceramic work both in the functional realm and as performance art at the Renaissance festival, where she performed for a decade.
Today, she works in her rural East Texas home studio and is surrounded by a veritable zoo of animals.
