The combination of unfamiliar elements is a consistent idea running though my work. Born and raised in Tokyo, I remember a dense city with its own strong traditions that was also flooded with the foreign culture of different countries.

Though some of the points made would have been helpful in hindsight, I am grateful I did not read all this before I embarked on my own flameware journey. Ultimately, I needed to find my own way.
