Peter Jadoonath

Peter Jadoonath is a teaching artist at Northern Clay Center and maintains a studio in Shafer, Minnesota. Constructing functional, narrative pottery with a sculptural presence is his focus. Peter says, “My intent is to create pots that are drawings and drawings that are pots”. Peter earned a BFA from Bemidji State University in Minnesota and has been the recipient of several honors including a Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Project Grant, the Red Wing Pottery Collectors Society award,  East Central Regional Artist Award, and a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant.


"I don’t think we can escape the complexities of our history. My small life experience can be extrapolated in any direction to encompass many different stories and people from all over our country and world. Our human histories are woven, complex, and blurry."
