Mireille Perron

Mireille Perron is a visual artist, writer, and educator. She is the founder of the Laboratory of Feminist Pataphysics (2000). LFP promotes social experiments that masquerade as artworks and events. Perron has presented and/or published numerous essays related to visual arts and craft practice in Canada and abroad. She is Professor Emerita at the Alberta University of the Arts (formerly Alberta College of Art and Design). She lives and works in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She can be reached at


Their ceramic objects serve as repositories of technique, mobility, potential, and function, enhancing our understanding and appreciation of situations afforded by domestic environments. Creating meaningful relationships with objects enables us to envision more sustainable worlds with fewer, but, better, things.
