Studio Potter is pleased to be a show partner for the New York Ceramics and Glass Fair (NYCGF) taking place at the historic Bohemian National Hall, New York City, January 18-21, 2018. SP strongly supports NYCGF's efforts to strengthen public understanding of and appriciation for the deep connections between historic and contemporary ceramics. With twenty-six exhibitors, NYCGF will feature contemporary art---some from well known New England ceramics galleries Ferrin Contemporary (above, Peter Pincus, Trio of Vessels) and Lacoste Gallery---alongside fine antiques creating a dynamic atmosphere of past and present. Additional Loan Exibits from The Frick Pittsburgh, and the Museum of the American Revolution, Philadelphia will be on view.

This year's fair hosts a lecture series featuring "some of the most important voices in the world of ceramics and glass," including Peter Pincus, Linda Sikora, and Mark Shapiro among other top curators and scholars in the fields of decorative and fine arts.

Studio Potter journal editor, Elenor Wilson, will be introducing Sikora and Shapiro's joint lecture, "American Studio Potter - Making of a Movement," on Saturday, January 20, at 4 p.m.

A preview opening will be held on Wednesday, January 17, from 5-8:30 p.m (tickets $90). The fair hours are Thursday - Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (tickets $20, good for all days and lectures).  For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the fair website.
