June is Refer-A-Friend Month!

Robert Arneson in his studio, 1984. (Heavily Photoshopped). It's summer!  Time for workshops, sunglasses, traveling, craft fairs, and barbecues, so we know you will be seeing your friends soon.  Tell them how much you enjoy Studio Potter, when they become a member at your request, we'll send you both one of our classy logo aprons - good for throwing pots . . . or throwing ribs on the grill.

Actually, you don't even have to be a potter . . . or a member!  Just ask Bob.  If you really want two aprons, you can refer yourself.

See Arneson's more serious side in Volume 13, Number 1, 1984.  Members get two full print issues per year (containing the best writing in our community, by both the most high profile and totally obscure artists), a free back issue of their choice, online access to our full archive of issues, the option to be listed in our online directory, discounts on all PDF downloads, back issues, and SP merchandise.

Join us now, and tell us who twisted your arm by e-mailing Josh (membership@studiopotter.org) their full name and e-mail address - we'll be sure to send them (and you!) our gift of thanks!

If you just want the apron, we understand. (Baby steps, right?) You can get it here

And now, back to our show . . .

Straight out of graduate school, I accepted a job out east. The quick of it is that this location wasn’t a good fit for my daughter and me. I didn’t know that at the time, at least not until a particular cup came into my life. It’s funny how when life starts to build and pile to the point of... Read More
